Quotes from Customers:"On a recent trip to the beach, in a frenzy of bags and beach chairs, I realized my purse was gone! Probably on top of my car and not in it. Well, I thought I'd never see my cute bag with my pretty shell Chic Magnet. The next day an angel called and said he had my bag. He said he thought it was a rag in the middle of the road, UNTIL HE SAW MY SHINY CHIC MAGNET on the side! He returned the bag the next day, Chic Magnet and all! I guess it saved more than my keys. Thanks," "I just recently bought a Chic Magnet for myself and have fallen in love with it! I bought a couple of extra magnets to keep for presents -- have already given one away to my girlfriend and she loves it too. My sister saw it on my purse and she wants one as well. Every year for Christmas we decide on 1 gift to give away to all our friends. And, well, you're our find for the year!" "This is such a great little item!!!! I love it! I use it everyday. I have one on my workbag and one on my purse- and let me tell you it really works!!! No lost keys here. I travel between HI and the mainland and get so many compliments and questions. I have had no such problems with credit card erasing, nor remote malfunction. What a great idea!" |
As President and Inventor of "The Chic Magnet" I am often asked how I came up with this idea and love to share my story:As a traveling scrub nurse, I spent many years plagued by elusive keys. After a broken romance, I took some time off to visit my sister in Iowa. One frigid evening, I slipped on her icy driveway while searching the depths of my purse for keys. Frustrated, I went to bed that night, unemployed, un-engaged and unhappy. I decided it was time to stop feeling sorry for myself and solve my problems, starting with my estranged keys. I soon thought of using a magnet inside my purse to attract & hold them in one place. My life completely changed overnight. The next morning I received a call from a Traveling Nurse Agency, asking if I would like to work in Hawaii. Two weeks later I was there. With my first paycheck I bought a computer, did some research and purchased a set of very strong magnets. They worked extremely well but were quite unattractive. I was soon introduced to a handsome engineer who helped me develop the magnets into functioning, fashionable charms that all my friends wanted to use. After watching an "inventors" segment on television, I was inspired to take it to the next level. Hence: "The Chic Magnet" was conceived. To sum it up, within a few months of that cold Iowa night, I was employed, full of hope & happily living in Hawaii. Oh! One more thing too mention; on October 11, 2003. I married that handsome engineer. — Chris Rees |
